Rizoem works on the future by creating places where people like to live, work and meet. But how do you translate this unique philosophy and working method into a website that is just as connecting and inspiring? Together with Concept7, a website was developed that not only tells, but above all inspires and convinces.
Rizoem is more than an organisation: it is a philosophy and a partner who stands beside you, as an equal. Active in spatial development and liveability in the three northern provinces, Rizoem realises projects that seamlessly meet the needs of residents, municipalities and care institutions. Yet their existing website struggled to translate this unique approach into a powerful digital story. The challenges?
Information gap: Users had too little insight into services, projects and the people behind Rizoem.
Navigation problems: Users had difficulty finding the information they wanted.
Identity and philosophy: The essence of Rizoem - connecting like a rhizome, an underground root network - did not come into its own.
Serving diverse target groups: With different client groups, such as municipalities, housing corporations and healthcare institutions, different needs need to be addressed.
The question was clear: how do we develop a website that is accessible, convincing and reflects Rizoem's unique approach as a partner?
Rizoem stands for more than spatial development. They connect ideas, ambitions and people to create places where everyone likes to be. As a partner, they take care of the process from idea to realisation, always with the focus on people. Their working area extends across the northern Netherlands, where they realise projects with their rhizome principle: a flexible and connected network that works together to create liveable and future-proof environments.
Before we started designing, we fully immersed ourselves in the world of Rizoem:
We examined the customer journey in detail. Using existing personas and customer journeys, we mapped the critical moments. What emerged? Customers were looking for clear access to information about services, clear insights into processes and guidance from Rizoem.
We immersed ourselves in the organisation, corporate identity and competitors. Together, we discovered how Rizoem's core values could be translated into a unique digital experience.
The website design brings Rizoem's philosophy of connection to life. With a recalibrated corporate identity, thoughtful concept directions and a spot plan, we created a visual and functional basis in which services, projects and people come together seamlessly. The design reflects the rhizome principle: a connected network.
The navigation and information architecture are designed logically and purposefully, allowing every target group - from municipalities to residential groups - to find the right information quickly and easily.
In addition, the website exudes personality and likability, with a prominent role for the team members. Their expertise takes centre stage, while the stories behind the projects further emphasise Rizoem's human and committed approach.
A modular design system, or digital block box, allows Rizoem to create new pages and content independently in Statamic. Thanks to consistently implemented branding, the website remains recognisable and professional, without compromising on flexibility.
The result is a digital showcase where Rizoem's services, projects and people come together. The website combines inspiration with user-friendliness and offers customisation for each target group. This makes it a powerful online translation of Rizoem's mission: connecting, inspiring and creating together.
