In recent years, Vintage Cash Cow has developed an extensive trading network of auction houses, museums, institutions and independent makers. The mission is to give a second life to as many items as possible.
With 180 employees and a turnover of 25 million, you can imagine: a lot goes in and out at Vintage Cash Cows. Not long ago, the company was still using manual Excel files and e-mails to keep track of inventory as best as possible. But soon the desire came: the distribution process must be automated, more secure and efficient.
The goal? A clear and user-friendly inventory management system where Vintage Cash Cow can control and improve the process.
First, the vintage items that come in need to be categorised. What kind of item is it? And what is its estimated value? From this, we can find out which outlet the item is of interest to.
Is it a standard product? Then it will be sent in bulk to auction site and partner eBay.

We have developed two separate tools for these two categories:
Many employees label dozens to hundreds of products every day. Using the login system, supervisors and administrators, as well as those labelling, can monitor the overview themselves.
Our UX designers transformed this overview into a new, user-friendly system. Embedded in Vintage Cash Cow's new branding.

Some items are of higher value. These therefore require other outlets. For example, consider the platinum product, for which Vintage Cash Cow contacts a more specific auction house.
The question? An easy overview where you can see at a glance which products in which package go to which auction house.
