KIJCK has continued to grow by successfully implementing automated customer experiences using ActiveCampaign
KIJCK achieved a 249% increase in SEO traffic compared to the previous year
Overall website traffic grew by 101% compared to the year before
The number of physical offices expanded with two new locations
Fun fact: visitors who actively choose to be addressed formally (“u”) convert 73% more often than visitors who don’t make a preference selection.
KIJCK. Makelaars is a young agency based in Amsterdam.
With a wide range of properties, they appeal to a diverse audience. What sets KIJCK apart is their transparency, personal approach, and clear communication.
“A renewed website that better reflects our visual identity, allowing us to convince potential clients with a compelling proposition and supporting marketing activities.” That’s the request KIJCK brought to us.
Selling a home is a major, emotional step. That’s why we started with the following key questions for the website:
How do we convince potential clients that KIJCK is the right partner to sell their home?
How do we ensure that the website is flawless and builds trust with the target audience?
How do we create a compelling and persuasive proposition that leverages psychological principles of influence?
The answers start with human-centered design. This is a design approach that places the end user at the center, rather than the organization. For us, this way of working is the guiding principle in every design process!
Time for a deep dive into the world of the brand and its target audience. Through in-person workshops, you uncover valuable insights that are crucial for the new website. Every project requires a tailored approach. For KIJCK. Makelaars, the following types of user research proved to be relevant:
During the team session, we worked with team members to further shape the brand. What are the USPs, the way of working, the services offered, and the strengths and areas for improvement?
Several (potential) customers were brought together in a focus group. The outcome: an even clearer picture of the target audience and how to segment it—what are the reasons people choose to approach KIJCK. Makelaars?
Your eyes say more than a thousand words. The eyetracker In our own UX-lab is a special device that tracks eye movements and fixations. Through these eye-tracking tests, we gathered valuable insights into the viewing behavior of the target audience.
For example, the fixed sales price on the old website raised a lot of questions. It seemed too good to be true—was there a catch? Clear communication and transparent pricing explanations have once again proven to be essential!
The customer journey is the journey a (potential) customer takes: from the first encounter with your brand all the way to after purchase or usage. For most visitors, the KIJCK website functions primarily as a comparison platform in this initial phase. Building trust and offering clarity are two of the most important goals.
Personas help bring the target segment to life: they describe the characteristics and needs of a homeowner looking to sell their house.
Color usage, typography, shapes, layout... everything has a purpose.
On top of that, you have two platforms where user experience needs to excel: desktop and mobile.
The potential KIJCK client is looking for clarity. When searching for the right real estate agent, it’s easy to lose sight of the bigger picture. That’s why a clear and well-structured website is crucial.
So, what did we do to offer the target audience an optimal user experience?
The pricing matrix: instantly see what you gain
The previous display was cluttered and didn’t clearly communicate the message of the fixed fee. With the new slider tool, you can now easily calculate the benefits of a fixed rate based on your home’s selling price.
Conversational design that ensures the right way to address users
Conversational design gaat over het de gespreksmogelijkheden op het platform. Hoe verloopt een gesprek en hoe reageert een chatbot? We creëerden een ‘u/je’-slider waardoor de bezoeker zelf kan beslissen hoe hij/zij aangesproken wilt worden.
More focus on the property listings
In addition to selling their own home, clients can also buy a home through KIJCK. Makelaars. However, this wasn’t clearly communicated before. Thanks to the new website design, this element has now been added to the homepage.
